#22: Tran Lap – Another day!

Look at his gentle face, and her happy laugh. This one is not actually about the rocker, it is about the girl. Lap says he doesn't like this one cause he might look silly, but that's what I like about it. His "silly face" and her happy expression release a comfortable feeling. All the acts were so natural, I just left them feel free to think about anything they wanted to do. I did not direct or asked for any positions, any behaviors. Things just turned out so naturally. They laughed, they talked, and they flirted each other! That was damn fun!

Can you tell that they are acting? Not at all, I just let them walking, laughing, trying to think about anything they could talk about, and then I just...shot them, captured the moments. That made the rocker looks so much different with those images he had appeared ever before.

Hell knows what they were talking about!

"Hey, are you trying to photograph us? Hell stop it!" That is what the bread sellers were saying. They were quite shy and angry that they thought I was trying to photograph them. Yeah, you don't want to be famous because you are a bread seller! I said “No, I am taking this guy's pictures”, I pointed to Lap, and they believed it. There's one thing the sellers would hard to understand; because they are selling bread, that makes this picture special. And how special? They don't need to know. It is a nice picture because of them!

He's calling no one, just calling me: Hey, do I look cool? hehe

There's a papparazzi following us!

This one is a cool coincidence, the interesting thing about it is that, I had my slow shutter speed at the moment!

Hey this is...giving me an extreme nostagic feeling!

Still, he's calling no one!

He said: "I'm old". Yeah, right, you are older than me. I used to take pictures of women with their best beautiful angles, but with him, I tried to point my camera to his "youthful" angle! "I don't need to be pretty, I need to be young" he wanted that. And I got it!

Fav of some of my friends. They like the hawker passing behind his back. It was just a wonderful moment!

Hey, I like the yellow bus, the bus! Once you see the bus, you know that it is Hanoi, just like the yellow taxi cab of New York!

Yeah, now he is back to his essence: A ROCK STAR!

Well, the sad thing about those idols of the past times is that, they are getting bald, and getting bigger in sizes! He is used to having long hair, "young" smile, no wrinkles and a much smaller belly! Once I posted an entry about Phil Collins, I said Phil is so cool, attractive and I would love to marry him, though he is old, big belly and bald. Then I heard Lap wanted to write a comment about it, I was surprised that he ever wanted to write comment for a blog, but then I discovered....well, you know why, he is sympathized. hahahahaha!

Just being silient, for a moment, no girl!

He said he hated this picture so much, with that ew, silly smile. "That is not me". But guess what, it is still a good picture. I told him I wanted him to look different, rather than just sun glasses, rocky clothes or "cool" faces. Let's be different! Perhaps that is really him that he does not recognize that: A sweet and gentle rocker! (Or a silly one, hehe!)

Sometimes, a person may pick this picture as the most favorite one. Well, the reason is that there is no face in it, and you see it....different!
