Waking up, watching these Hakin’s photos again…opening the window, seeing the trees and flowers in my garden, listening the little birds are singing…The cool wind and the sunlight…Suddenly i just want to go somewhere … Just go and see the people around me…. DC is so far from here, but i feel it is just like a beautiful and peaceful place very near here…

Description

Well,  I had a trip to DC last weekend, to celebrate the annual cherry blossom festival. Still doing some color adjustments to other photos, so I just post on a series of photos that are not needed to do any photoshop. I’ll talk about the trip later, I was damn exhausted.

I came to the Cherry Festival on Sunday, they already ended the Parade, so fewer people was there than the previous day. But still, that was a whole damn crowd of humans, it was not so easy to take a good picture with a good view because everywhere you went, there would be somebody in your picture. And if there was a “good angle”, then you’d better get in line!

But then I had found something quite fascinating. Everybody had a camera, and I bet except the medium format (or who knows) ones, the rest kinds of camera in this world are all here! Whatever kinds from Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Panasonic, Sony to…Motorola, Nokia…they are all here. And whatever camera would go with whoever uses it, from an old woman to a very little boy, from an Asian girl to a black man…And whatever camera with whoever would create different positions and behaviors, some looked funny, some looked really serious. Yeah, people love flowers, haha!

I first came to this festival when I was 12 years old, small, skinny, and so short. I remember trying to reach a branch of the cherry tree and making a smile for my mom to take a photo. From my vague memory, not so many possessed a camera at that time, or at least not “everybody”, but I am happy to think that my mother already had a film one.  Now it makes me to realize one thing, it is my mother who loved photography so much and it is my father who was a very good photographer. Though we were pretty poor in my childhood time, but since I was five, my father had had a camera which used BW film. It was expensive to print too, but they were willing to do it! Yet that was just only a hobby, once in a while of lifetime!

So what’s that mean? For the last 27 years of my life, I had never thought I would become a photographer, that would be something expensive or too far to reach, and I had hard time figuring out what I would do for my life. But something is really in the gene, and one day, it exposed!

Well, I will talk about the camera in the up coming entries: 1 year celebration I am with my love – my 5D!

I just love it when seeing people smile and take photos under the sunshine. It seems like everyone is in a good mood. I especially like it when seeing members of a family are trying to take photos for each other. These places make you feel so lively!

Yeah, people love flower, hehe!

And now there is one fastinating thing I have discovered too. Through time, people’s cameras are getting bigger and bigger! (which means more people are richer or more people love photography, or both!)

Photography’s love! It is  no age, no race, no gender!
In Vietnamese, this is called “tự sướng”

And this is what I am talking about:  The happiness you can tell, as you see a family takes it’s own photos!
