Description
Thanh Bach – Known as the best entertaining host of Vietnam. In VN, we call him “MC Thanh Bach”. MC means “master of ceremony” which means….a host! So, let’s call him an MC.
Thanh Bach mostly does his job in southern of Vietnam, where people are more active in spending and attending entertaining activities rather than those in the north – thus he is more famous in the south, but since the Press is hunger for gossips everyday, he is on newspaper frequently, well, so, everybody knows him.
Due to his talents and strange attitudes which develop heavy rumors and scandals, his name is always “hot”, even though he is already a man in the 50’s, no handsome like a model and his job is just an MC – a job that is less likely to make you an idol rather than a movie star, well, at least in Vietnam, it is!
Despite whatever people say, whatever people try do to harm his pride and prejudice, you only see him with a smile on his face everyday, a smile that makes others smile.
Life is such full of surprise, I never knew that I had a chance to meet and be his friend. The special thing is, he is the one who wanted to be my friend first!
2 years ago, when I suddenly became popular on the internet for just writing blog and a self love story, that was also the time when 360 blog had connected people easily than ever before. It is not so hard to know another person and get a contact, whether that is a celebrity or just a long lost friend. And I received an email from someone called MC Thanh Bach. And you should now that the name “Thanh Bach” is not quite a popular name in Vietnam, and with the title “MC”, you know that must be the famous Thanh Bach on the Press. But I still did not sure if that was real Thanh Bach or not, who knows, perhaps someone played a joke on me by his name.
He wrote sweet things and was very friendly, that created doubt! How come such a famous person wanted to be my friend and could be that friendly? Emails by emails…he was telling me about his secret love story, his secret dark sides….There have always been rumors and great wonders about his sexual relationships. They want to know if he is really gay or not, and recently he has divorced his wife, this drowns him in heavier rumors and troubles. Well, don’t ask me about this, because I do not care about his sex at all!
We became close friends….all these 2 years, we had not had chance to meet in real life, because he is busy all the time, and he is living in the south, I am in the north. The funny thing is, once I had not have a chance to meet him, I would still doubt if that was really Thanh Bach or not, and only one or two friends of mine know about my relationship with him, but I told them: “I am not sure if that is real Thanh Bach, ok?”.
And well, as I said, life is full of surprise. When I did not have a chance to see him in Vietnam, I had a chance to meet and photograph him in New York, in real life, after all these times. And it was time to confirm if I had been talking with a real Thanh Bach or it was just a long joke. If that was a joke, I would knock that fake Thanh Bach down to the sewer, photograph him and photoshop him with big nose and crooked teeth!
But…I did not have chance to do so, because that was a real Thanh Bach. Haha, and he was no different than I had imagined. Intelligent, knowledgeable, friendly, funny and he had tons of interesting lessons for me to learn.
And if you meet him, feel his energy and his “strange attitudes”, and you are an open-minded person, you will see him interesting and be able to learn quite a lot from him. But if you are not, you are one of those who created the rumors!
I am an open-minded person!

Đời mình không có đi nịnh nọt ai hết, và chỉ nói những điều tốt đẹp với những ai với mình đáng được thế mà thôi!
Con rất thích những vở hài trong Những người thích đùa của chú Bạch , còn MC thì quá hấp dẫn người xem rồi . Chú là 1 người tài hoa , hy vọng trong tương lai sẽ có những vở hài hay hơn nữa . Con chúc chú thành công trong nghề nghiệp của mình .
