#54: Her who is different – P1.

Today, I have another friend to show you. A very special one, well, she is special, not because she is a famous person, but because she is merely….special!

Years ago, I saw her on TV competing in a national voice contest – something modified from American Idol and until today the program has attracted a considerable amount of audiences. Once you have a name marked here, the next day, you are known by the whole country! (Well, we do not have that so many channels like here in America!)

And she was the runner – up of the contest. She did a song that had never been performed that “differently” than ever before. Her performance had become a phenomenon of those days (and even now). She was applauded and also criticized for her strange style which now has become her trademark – totally distinguished from any other artists. Nobody paid a damn attention about the guy who won the first prize of the contest. She took all attentions.

Almost 10 people who hear her sing for the first time, 10 would get goose bumps.  And if 10 hear her for the second time….still 10 get goose bumps.  Well, perhaps not because her voice is like “amazing”, but the way she created the song would make people surprised. Something that people would ask themselves:  “What on earth a person would sing this way? I would never dare myself to sing like this”. Well, so the key is, she might have some voice like any other singers, but what she did to make herself different is that: She DARED to sing different!

Difference means love and hate. Some are crazy in love with her voice, some hate her extremely. But that makes her name distinguished! She has her own place!

It’s hard to shoot Khue, because she posed too much. But well, I caught some moments for tricking her, hehe!
